I’ve found that a two-hour minimum is the 'sweet spot' for City Hall; it provides the perfect window to capture the excitement of your ceremony and portraits with your guests, while still leaving a full, dedicated hour for us to wander the building and capture all of San Francisco City Hall's "greatest hits"

This dedicated portrait coverage is designed for couples seeking high end imagery within the neoclassical architecture of San Francisco City Hall. This session is the ideal choice for engagement sessions, anniversary milestones, or creative portraits that utilize the building’s grand scale and directional light.
Please note: this rate is reserved strictly for non-wedding portraiture.
To ensure proper documentation of the ceremony and guest interactions, all San Francisco City Hall weddings and civil ceremonies require a two hour minimum. For ceremony coverage, please refer to the wedding packages listed above.
Ryan perfectly captured the emotion of the day. My family can’t stop talking about how beautiful the photos are and how kind he was. Truly can’t recommend Ryan enough!"

After we’ve had a chance to do an intro call and discuss initial planning, logistics, and to see if we’d be a good fit, you reserve your event date by signing a contract and providing a retainer fee.
Of course! Most people (myself included) sometimes feel awkward in front of the camera. I prefer to work with motion and interactions rather than specific posing. I’ll work with you at your comfort level through fun prompts, mini games (and maybe even a well-timed dad joke or two) to capture genuine emotions between you and your partner.
I am a documentary-and-reportage-style photographer. Although I will of course be sure to capture all of the quintessential formal portraits and group shots that you’d expect in any wedding album, I feel that my best work is when I am able to photograph smiles IN photos, rather than smiles FOR photos.
My background is in candid city street photography, where a photo is much more valuable if it captures a fleeting moment that can’t be replicated. I bring that approach and mentality to every event I shoot - from the big, show-stopping excitement of a grand entrance, to the tender emotions of a quiet, private first look, I focus on the love and connection that is unique to you as a couple.
I accept payments via credit card. All bookings require a non-refundable retainer fee of 50% of the total cost, and a your credit card will be saved on file and set up for auto-pay for balance payments. The balance of the total cost of your photography coverage will be due 30 days before your event date. I’m happy to work with you on a payment schedule for the final 50% leading up to this due date.
Showcasing my work is a crucial part of how I secure future business. My pricing is based on many factors, not least of which is the value that my images hold in generating bookings with awesome clients like you! With that in mind, please kindly note that for any bookings that require that images must be kept private, an additional 20% per hour will be charged in addition to the base rate.
I do not guarantee a minimum number of photos for an event, as this will depend on a number of different variables throughout your wedding day. However, I generally aim to deliver at least 40 curated and fully-edited images per hour of coverage - often many, many more!
No. At this time, I offer only photography coverage.
I aim to deliver the curated, fully-edited wedding galleries within 6-8 weeks of your wedding date.
